Direct Tool Company Listed As Official Tooling And Consumable Supplier For Green Port Hull Project

Having positioned themselves as a specialist supplier to the marine and composite industries Direct Tool Company (better known as DTC) are thrilled to have been selected for the business directory of the momentous Greenport project in Hull.

Green Port’s inspiring renewable energy project hardly needs an introduction, with over £300M invested from Siemens alone for a wind turbine assembly and rotor blade manufacturing & service facility. DTC are rapidly growing their tooling and consumable services to a variety of composite part manufacturing facilities in the renewable energy sector. From working with a wide variety of turbine blade production engineering centres across Europe their product range has diversified significantly to suit these precision engineering operations.

DTC will be attending the Team Humber Marine Alliance’s Offshore Wind Connections conference and exhibition at Bridlington Spa on the 3rd and 4th of May with views to better understand industry requirements.

The Green Port Hull vision is to capitalise on Hull’s ideally positioned port, industrial presence and infrastructure to take advantage of the offshore wind opportunities in the North Sea.
Hull City, East Riding Councils and Associated British Ports have been working closely with global partner organisations to ensure the plan runs smoothly. The Regional Growth Fund has offered significant funding to secure skill development, business support and R&D.
