We interview Mark on what he does, what he enjoys about his job and his responsibilities as the DTC sales representative for the South West.
What does your day-to-day job involve?
I have the highest number of clients out of all the area sales managers, so that keeps me very busy! I spend most of my time on the phone, giving advice to my existing customers and answering queries. I also like to get out to and go and visit my customers face-to-face.
What do you enjoy about your job?
The thing I enjoy most is talking to customers and building relationships with them. I like to get out of the office occasionally to visit them and see what projects they are working on. I like the fact that I deal with so many different industries, including marine and automotive.
Do you have a favourite product?
My favourite range of products is the BAXT Carbonite range of abrasives. It is the best on the market – it consistently outperforms the competition, saves our clients time and therefore helps them to be more efficient. Our customers love it!
What is best about the South West?
The variety of industries is what I what like, although I guess you could say that about the other areas too! I deal with the oil and gas industry and also the military – both areas that are really pushing the boundaries of what composites can do.
