Peel Ply is a consumable item that generally sits as the first layer of your consumable stack on top of the laminate. Peel ply can perform many jobs, such as providing a bondable surface when used correctly, or as a method for removing excess resin, keeping the composite surface free from pollutants and many other functions.
A very useful material that can be used in a variety of composite manufacturing process such as vacuum bagging, resin infusion, wet layup and pre-preg applications.
It is important to choose correctly between nylon and polyester peel ply’s, coated and uncoated, depending on your requirements.
Care must be taken when specifying the tracers and dye colours of your peel plies, to avoid any incompatibility in the materials harming the manufacturing process.
