How to obtain a metal paint smooth finish
If you are looking to buy a metal paint smooth finish, we recommend Hammerite Direct to Rust metal paint. This paint is supplied in a 750ml tin and features a hammered metal finish. Specially formulated for treating rust, this paint can be painted straight onto a metal surface (even when rusted), without the use of a primer. We are sometimes asked, “Can your metal paints be used on aluminium?” The answer is that Hammerite Direct to Rust metal paint is unsuitable for painting aluminium. Our Autosol metal polish can however be applied to aluminium surfaces.
