Wire brushes
Browse from a large range of industrial abrasive wire brushes at DTC. On these brushes, the abrasive surface is mainly used in cleaning and surface preparation tasks. Used across a range of applications from light to heavy, what you can achieve will largely depend on the type of wire brush bought. Many of the wire brushes listed here are handheld, whereas others are attachments to power tools (e.g., angle grinders).
What are the applications?
Use in applications such as:
- Cleaning and smoothing – use on various surfaces, especially metal
- Surface preparation – ahead of polishing and finishing tasks
- Deburring – on items such as moulds and castings (these are ideal in hard-to-reach areas) and
- Surface removal and cleaning – use to clear off coatings, dirt, paint, and rust
Mini wire brushes
Our handheld mini wire brushes set are sold in packs of 3 and are perfect for reaching tiny nooks and crevices. We also sell 6mm and 20mm mini wire brushes end shafts for use in conjunction with power tools.
Wire wheel brushes
Another option is wire wheel brushes (also called wire cup brushes), which as the name suggests are circular (wheel-shaped) and have an abrasive brush. DTC sells several different options, all of which are used in conjunction with power tools:
- M14 thread – steel or stainless steel in 75mm, 100mm and 120mm sizes
- Twist knot – stainless steel – M10 (70mm) or M14 (70mm, 85mm, 95mm, and 105mm) and
- Wire circular brush – M10 (100mm red) or (100mm red plain collar) and M14 115mm blue
