What is a one-step polishing compound?
A one-step compound cuts and refines in a single stage, removing sanding marks (typically P1500) without a separate polishing step. BAXT Solo Extreme and Solo 1000 are engineered to deliver a permanent, crystal-clear one-step result.
Do BAXT polishes contain fillers?
No. Filler-based compounds temporarily hide defects, which then reappear as the fillers wash out. BAXT compounds achieve their finish through genuine cutting and refinement, so the result does not fade back.
How do BAXT compounds reduce cost per job?
The high-efficiency wet film stays workable longer and spreads further, with potential usage reductions of up to 30%. One-step products also remove entire stages — Solo 1000, for example, removes the need for P3000 abrasive discs.
What removes holograms and swirl marks?
A dedicated antihologram polish. BAXT MicroCut 5000 is specialised for eradicating swirls and holograms from both refinished and original paint, applied after the machine polishing step.
Can these compounds be used on gelcoat?
Yes. BAXT M100 is formulated specifically for gel coat, removing sanding marks from P800/P1000 on marine and production composite surfaces in a single step.
